hi i was wondering if i could put an ecotec in my car and is the right choice of motor is it a strong motor will it handle boost and how hard would it be to put in my car i dont now much about this motor thanks

Quick answer...yes.

Check out the THIRD GEN forum as there are several swap threads there to assist you in making this happen.

The Eco is a great motor really, simple design yet efficient and makes decent power under boost. Max power without doing some internal mods is about 250 - 260...of course it can take a bit more, but I wouldn't push it for long!




Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

(almost) Anything you want to do can be done, it's just a matter of money, time, skill, etc. that said, I understand that the eco swap isn't that complicated, as engine swaps go.
