yeh i had a complete, well almost complete exhaust installed about 4 months ago..I bought a full pacesetter set-up..the only things that didnt come with the exhaust were a resonator and the cat itself..we removed the resonator and just used the stock cat temporarily..but now im getting to the point where i wanna start messing with it again, and i just wanted to know should i punch out my cat?or should i go buy a cherry bomb.or is their another good sounding alternative?(if i buy a cherry bomb will it set off any codes?or will the cat set off any codes?)thanx..
Just make sure the inlet and outlet of your cat is cut and a pipe the same diameter as the rest of your exhuast is welded onto it. Also I would get the biigest resonator you can fit put on.

Get a high flow catco cat on ebay (~$30), and then replace your stock cat with that. THEN, add in the largest resonator you can

mk..why should i go with a big resonator?im not sure.....i dont have a resonator at all right now...where i live we dont have emissions tests or nething..
the resonator will quite down the exhaust. that is why most people choose to get them.
The bigger resonator had nothing to do with emissions, just so it will sound better.

That doesn't mean your car should puff black smoke when you drive it. Do your part, use a cat, it's not like your motor is in a position to actually do better without one or something... when the turbo goes on, or the 12:1 pistons go in, then you can think about a testpipe.
