Ecotec Header- OBX?
Sunday, January 20, 2008 10:43 AM
When shopping around major websites for headers for my ecotec, I've seen the ones we've all heard of: RK Sport, Weapon R, PaceSetter, etc.

But on eBay I saw some OBX headers, for the ecotec, selling for just under $200, but haven't seen them anywhere else. it even shows the box that says ecotec on it...

Sweet or scam?

Some people will probably tell you to avoid them because they are a cheap knock off, but if your search, I dont think you'll find any evidance that obx headers are garbage, or even any less quality then the higher priced headers. I own one, I got it from ebay, havent installed it yet, but it looks sweet! Seems very well built, and appears to be well worth the money I paid. About 200 shipped to Canada. Mine is for a 95-97 2.2 though, the ecotec might be a different thing all together, but i honestly haven't heard any thing bad and backed up by proof.

Same thing as OBX. A lot of people might talk bad about it, but no one has any proof of them being inferior. The flyinskwirl has a tsudo.

I'm also in the market for a good eco header.. I dont really want a 4-2-1 because I'm planning on wrapping it with exhaust wrap in the summer (and all those bends and spare gasket links makes me worry) so I'm looking for a 4-1.. and almost 1/2 the time pacesetters have let someone down.. so for the price Im going to give this OBX one a try.. unless I come accost a really bad horror story.. but so far i haven't heard anything bad.

As I'm not financially able to boost this year, I'm needing a temporary header... The OBX is a decent price (particularly since I know it isn't permanent), so I'm buying it anyways, but reviews would be great nonetheless.
