Any Ecotec owners want to help me out?

I know there's the proper engine timing method in the service manual, which I have, but this is probably the 3rd time I've swapped cams with just marking the links, and keeping tension on the chain when the cams/sprockets are out. This time, I think I'm off by a notch or two. I know exactly how many links between the sprocket marks there should be, this part is fine, but both cams are out. Taking the lower engine cover off with the engine in the car is a pain, and I'd rather not do it. I can do trial and error adjusting by one notch, but really, what I'm asking is if someone has their valve cover off and can get their motor at exactly TDC, snap a nice close up side angle shot of the cam gears, that's all I need. Cheers.

Im reading this and chuckling cuz i know what it takes to align the cam crank chain. One time we were not sure, so i removed the side cover and we were off by one tooth on the crank! I know what your asking and the answer I have for you is . . . . I dont have any pics and remove the cover sorry

Just don't try firing it up until you're sure you have it right!
