I am thinking about putting the RK sport motor mounts into my car. 2.2 ohv in a 2000 sedan. Is this a hard process to go through, i read the post about motor mounts, seems like an easy process, but i am sure there are a few hard things about it. Any certain tools needed, how much time should it take, and if any install pictures that would be nice.
Thanks
The 2.2L OHV is an "insert" which we also carry at www.TurboTechRacing.com
Takes about 15 minutes to install.
You also might want to consider a complete mount replacement for the 2.2L found also at www.TurboTechRacing.com
The complete replacement mount has less movement than the RK Sport/prothane "insert"

Hellos Aaron (Turbo Tech), nobody seems to make poly mounts for the 1992 2.2 ohv, the ohv history sometimes looks like started at 1995, does the mounts you have fit my engine? I'm very interested in buying the full set if it fits, including the inserts. Thanks a lot.
Sidney
Yes they will bolt right up

Thanks Aaron, please quote the full set (all engine and tranny mounts and inserts) and tell me the payment methods since I live in Peru. I have a pay pal account. Best regards.
Sidney.
Read to fast too, lol. No problem. Any product you can offer for my car? Thanks.

Hey, mind if I jump on this bandwagon? I mean, does Turbo Tech by chance make one for the LN2 in the S-10 app?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
^^^ No not yet, that engine is mounted as a RWD, so it would be 100% different...

Duh. Well, tell me when you do.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
how much are the inserts aaron, quantity needed and difficulty of job, would i need to support the engine or just insert them?? 2200sfi
there are 2 separate inserts for the motors, an upper and a lower. you should be able to buy either or of the mounts. the upper is just an insert, the lower is a whole replacement.
i just purchased these mounts from aaron about a week and a half ago, they are currently in the mail.
aaron, i got an update last night on the package, its in canada now, hopefully i get the slip to pick them up today
thanks again for the great service!

one for the upper insert, one for the lower if you wish to replace that as well.

so for my 99z24 ld9 if i want the full package i should get the Turbo Tech Racing Aluminum Lower Engine Mount Cavalier/Sunfire 1995-05 as well as the Turbo Tech Racing Upper Engine Mount Chevrolet/Pontiac Cavalier/Sunfire 96-2002 2.4L and 1995 2.3L and i that'll reduce engine movement nicely?
with the upper mount insert install, will I need to support the motor still? and where should I support it at while i do both mounts.

Andy - I took the hood off my firends car, then we hooked up the Engine to a engine puller from the mount on the engine. Very easy afterwards. Probably could have used a jack to support the engine, but the car was lowered and we only had one floor jack to use.
The lower mount is EASY AS PIE! 10 mins tops.
awesome I will have them here thursday (next week) so i will get them in sunday hopefully. where is a good point to support the engine at btw??

Get some wood such as 2x4s and put it on the top of your jack and then jack it up under the oil pan but not hard, just enough to stop the engine from moving. This will distribute the weight and lower the risk of deforming or puncturing your oil pan. The upper mount will pretty much hold the engine in place while you do the lower mount but the jack should be there anyway. But when you take the upper mount out, the engine will fall (rotate downward) without the jack, if it moves just use the jack to lightly get it lined up with the upper mount bolts. Easy installs, i found it helped me to cut the slightest slit in the wheel wheel liner so i could bend back the liner far enough to get the back bolt from the lower mount out without having to take the liner all apart and such.
