Just purchased the TTR upper mount. In the instructions it says to replace the 18mm bolts. So I called the 2 dealerships in town for the part and said they don't have it. They also searched in their database for the bolts and could not find them. I went to Lowes and Home Depot and had no luck. Is it absolutely necessarily to change these bolts or could I get by? Is there a major risk for not switching them? Thanks.
I didnt replace mine. I just put some blue locktight on the old ones and reinstalled them. They have been in for a few months w/o any problems.
I didn't replace mine either. It's been almost 2 years now since I put mine in. You'll be fine if you reuse the stock ones.
Cool, thanks for the replies. I think I'm gonna try to put it in today, if it doesn't rain. Thanks again.

mine have been in and out numerous amounts of time...just apply blue threadlocker and send em home....
Keith,
when i took my stock one out, wow, 30k miles and the rubber was all torn. When I held the mount sideways, the piece would sag, it couldn't hold itself up. After the install, wow, i can tell a difference. Seems like it pulls harder through the lower band. A 15 min install. Great mod, IMO, as others have said. Thanks for the help guys.
off subject, i can't decide if i want to shell out 499 for hp tuners or save up for something else. I think hp tuners will be most beneficial since im thinking about cams in the future. donno though? I really like hp tuners; however, i doubt they make something comparable to it that is cheaper.
might as well call it $650 because everyone will tell you to get the pro version
