does anybody here have that one and if so how does it sound?
ive got a 4-1, ive had it done up several ways. straight through, dynamax stock flow muffler and a magnaflow open flow muffler.
straight pipe was loud as hell but sounded good.
magnaflow muffler is pretty loud and obnoxious but sounds decent but only at idle, any other time it sounds RICE.
and the dynamax muffler was what sounded the absolute best, but that was because you couldnt hear anything. which is perfect IMO.
i wouldnt worry about the sound of the HEADER so much, you can change the sound with mufflers and resonators to something more to your liking.
ive heard an rk sport 4-2-1 on a supercharged 2.4 with an otherwise completely stock exhaust, sounded awesome, but again, there basically was no sound so thats pretty much why.
^^agreed. you need good mufflers and a huge resonator to make it sound good. i HAD a 4-1 but it cracked at the collecter because i had fitment issues with it. it was hitting the rack. its also a PITA to get in due to the flange at the collector.
im just looking for a setup thatll give me a few bolt on hp and have nice flow but also sound deep and throaty as all without being loud until i stomp it and the future supercharger starts force feeding my car
rk sport header, 2.5" mandrel bent downpipe, magnaflow high flow cat, magnaflow 22" resonator, 2.5" mandrel bent cat-back piping with a dynamax super turbo muffler and a nice chrome tip.

I just did the 4-2-1 set and just headers sounds awsome like i got a v8. any way only problem i have is that i got and use my cruise control alot and it used to mount ont the firewall above the headers yet now with the rksport ones i cant seem to get it back on any ideas so it doesnt hit the headers or reloction point.
