There any many writeups on the site problem is searching for the proper key words. I have a picture of the wiring diagram on my home PC. Ill post it up tonight if I have a chance. I also have some links as well.

is there something like this for the ecotec, all im finding is the 2200 and the 2.4 etc

Go to junkyard and find 98+ 2200. Locate coil packs and icm. Unbolt it, leave all of the pig tails plugged in and snip the wires off with as much slack as you can.

Then go cut your plug off that plugs into your stock ICM on your car - and then just match colors.
