what do they mean by saying to upgrade my 2.3 95 cylinder head to a 086 or 753 what do those come out off 2.4 or what because of bigger exhaust ports?
the 086 head is the 2.3 HO head off a Beretta GTZ or similar.
I'm not sure what the 753 is though.
according to a guy in mantapart there are this 2 options
thats your 1st mistake, listening to mantafart
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

Stop and walk away
Mantapart WILL take your money and WILL NOT give you parts. A simple search will let you know all that youe need to about that horrible couple.

90-92 quads, yes all, can come with 086 casting.
exhaust ports and all valves are bigger then your head.

So what would you use for a header?
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
From what i remember the 753 casting was the later version for the HO's and the "updated" (only) replacement available through GM. Apparently they replaced any cracked or otherwise unusable 086 with a 753 (warranty work etc.) so it is possible to see the 90-92's with a 753 head. I think the 086 flowed better and i dont recall the reason they changed to the other casting as i havent played with (or researched) one of these heads in a few years now.
Thats all i can think of off the top of my head, i will have to see if i still have my stack of 086 info around somewhere

Now with northstar V8, IRS, 20's n 22's

So what would you use for a header?
Most who do this swap would just use the HO factory exhaust manifold. They claim it flows better than a modified 2.4 header would since it only has 1.5" primaries and the manifold is bigger. I used the supercharged lsj header for a cobalt with the 1.75" primaries and had it modified to fit.
The stock LO 4-2 headers are also a good choise IMO. 1 5/8 primary's and stainless steel.
