I'm doing the 2.3 oil pump swap on my 2.4 and the question i had was, the drive gear that goes on the crank does it matter which way it gets put on??
Another question was how do u determine if u need to ship it or not??
Yes because the teeth have to be in sink with the teeth from the oil pump. Just put the pump up to the drive gear to determin which way to be put on. No shims are needed, if your using stock main cap bolts you will be fine. If your using ARP main cap bolts you may have to trimp the pump housing its self to fit over the ARP bolts.
