Many have used the Team Green insert and have been happy with it. No offense them but it's not something I would personally ever use, I'd either get a real diff or leave it stock.

i would say go with team green, because they provide for the community. Support those who support the org.

ive have the phantom grip in my 97z with izuzu. it worked flawlessly and i cant complain. car had hella torque steer and both tires spun equally at all times.

Once you installed the LSD, did the torque steer negate itself, or is it still inherent in the vehicle?

Sounds like he's saying it still has hella torque steer... which means you got played, son.

where can i get a team green lsd??

horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.

ok what, kurt? before i had it only my passenger side tire would spin at the track. after-both dug in. i never got to really play with it and launching though because the car only went to the track once with it installed. so i never got used to it.

torque steer for me meant it was good and was doing its job. before only one tire was spinning and it just went straight. then afterwards both gripped well and it moved all over the road when you'd launch it.

Thank you. You beat me to the reply.
Nothing against the Team Green LSD but when I do my 5 speed swap, it'll be the Phantom Grip.
Quaiffe is way too expensive so PG will have to do.

Team Green over Phantom grip or OBX helical LSD if you can't afford a Quafie.

Next time I have to crack into that end of the tranny, I'll replace the PG springs with the TG springs, for more preload pressure.

If I'm not mistaken... the Team Green insert is the exact same thing as the Phantom Grip insert... except the Team Green one comes with much stiffer springs than the base Phantom Grip one. So then by default, the Team Green one must be the better one.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

I had a Team Green one in the 'vert when it was a 5 speed (for a short while), then when I nuked the engine I swapped to the L67 with auto, so it went bye-bye. It was a nice upgrade I kinda miss it...

I think your right.

Earlier when I said I'd go with Phantom Grip wi was thinking of the OBX? where is basically a cheaper replica of the quaife.

Given that they are both cheesy inserts I would take team green over another company but I personally would never use an insert in my own car, full replacement real LSD or nothing.

Same here. Yes the team green springs are stronger meaning it wiil be less likely to do a one legger than the phantom grip.
