Whats a good air intake system for my 2000 cavalier z24 2.4l? I've heard of C&J but Im not sure what brand to purchase. Any suggestions?
I just resently installed an AEM short ram on my 99 Z24. Cost a little more than the ebay intakes and some of the others but it looks great, and sounds nice to. But an ebay intake would work just the same, and save you some money.
thanks. I will look at those websites.
And if all else fails.... you could just buy a $200 Injen intake that does the same thing a $30 one does like I did....... damn I dont know what I was thinking lol

I have an honest question about this setup. Why not just relocate the battery to the trunk and run the pipe straight? Cleaner engine bay, improved car balance, less bends and piping in your intake. Just seems logical to me.

I have my reasons..
mostly to do with i dont like relocating a wetcell battery in a place where i might put groceries.. when i get a drycell ill look into that.. but for now my setup works great.
Because relocating the battery to the trunk is a PITA and stupid..... Especially on a FWD car.
Plus you run a greater risk of having problems with all that extra wiring..... and IDK why people think it effects the balance any more than throwing a case of mountain dew in the trunk.... It's a stupid pointless mod.... unless you absolutely have to in order to make room in the engine bay for performance crap.... and that wont even happen if you do a liitle work around it.

I guess originally it looked clean when my intake was %80 the weapon-R..
but i wanted all 3" i dont think it looks that bad..
i dont think that intake looks to bad ^^^
i too was stupid and bought an AEM intake....but i did get it for like $80.00 shipped off of ebay, brand new in the box. so i didnt think it was to bad. any intake will do the same exact thing no matter what you pay for it.
just get a cheap-o off of ebay and throw a K&N cone on the end of it and call it a day
