Ok so I got a few things in the mail in the past week. It felt like christmass at my house all over again! What I recieved was rsm supercharger (cough) secret cams reground to 415 @ 219 intake and 390 @ 206 exh. Already installed the exhaust side. I need to wait for the intake untill I the lash caps get here. Brad here's some pics you asked for. I'll take more as this progesses.

VERY nice, man. still giddy somebody actually did the cam grinding and showed that it IS possible. getting ho spec cams in an ld9 is going to be so easily done now, well with this option finally being reality as well as me being able to provide whats nessesary to get a regular ho set to drop right in an ld9.

pretty pumped that someone locally to me actually is doing all this stuff, as well.

keep going man! you'll get there! let me help with those pics...

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.

I recieved the lash caps today. For people who dont know what they are for. When you regrind your cams they take material from the base of your cam and move it to the other side of the lobe. The lash cap makes up for the difference in material that was moved. Since I have limited knowledge of how they work I wasnt sure if I could just put them in and go or if there was anything special to be done. I called some of the machine shops and asked. They all pretty much told me thng same thing. As long as your valve ends are long enough to accomidate them meaning you need to have enough material sticking up from between the end of the valve and the retainer. The lash cap cannot touch the retainer at all or it will screw your valvetrain. The tension from the valve spring will keep them between the lifter and the valve.
