Whats the performance difference between the 2.2 ecotec and the 2.4 twin cam?
The reason im asking is because i have a 2.2 ecotec cavalier and my one friend just got the 2.4 twin cam grad am.. Im just wondering what the base difference of the two are.
You have about 10 less hp and he weights more.

not being a dick man but use the ssearch button it has been talked about more times then you will wanna read about but all it will turn into is what engine is better. they have very similar horsepower. stock for stock . just look up both areas on the search please it will save you alot of bashing .

Cavalier will win. Grand Am will fail.
I had no doubt that my cavalier would win.
Knowing that the grand am is a few hundred pounds heavier and only around 10 more horsepower difference makes me more at ease. I already have most of the bolt-ons and have plans for more and he is completely stock, so he has a ton of work to do if he wants to race me.

Given the same level of modification they are both capeable of the same power levels. Biggest difference is aftermarket support for the engine family.
The Grand Am is a fair bit heavier than the Cavalier so that alone shold give you a slight edge.
My personal preferance however is the Q4/TC. I just dont trust the Eco family due to what I have personally seen happen.
