im not looking for a loud exhaust that will wake up the neighbors and i dont want anything too ricey. im looking for a single catback exhaust system that isnt much over 200.00. ive checked out magnaflow and their prices are pretty up there, way much more than i want to spend. ive checked ebay and found a decent looking one for 200.00. ive bought from ebay in the past and the sound was pretty nice. ive looked at pacesetter and theyre ugly as can be. i want performance/look/price all in one. what is the best to go?

Make your own for under $100 + a muffler.

This may help too - http://www.j-body.org/forums/search.php?search=exhaust&f=2&globalsearch=0&match=1&date=0&fldsubject=1

WTF is it with the supercheap asses lately? A quality pre-made cat-back under $200? hahaha.

I had pacesetter on my 96 OHV cav and it looked nice, sounded decent, but the fit could have been better. Also it was made from mild steel, so i did not expect it to last more than 2 - 3 years.

As for "performance/look/price", pick two and good luck on the 3rd. A cheap cat-back will either:
A. Sound like ass
B. Rust out in a year or two
C. Fit like @!#$

You can cheap out and buy a $200 mild steel exhaust, then spend the $200 again when it rust out, then again when it rusts out, etc. Or you can pay more initially and get an exhaust that will last longer than your car. I have an Atomic Fabrications exhaust sitting here waiting to be installed. It it made from 304 Stainless Steel and will out live my POS cavy.

If an exhaust is to raspy for you just pick up a resonator and have an exhaust shop install it.
