Hello guys I race a 95 chevy cavalier on a half mile oval asphalt track . The car is great and all but the little 2.2 just doesn't have the power to catch the fast guys
. Okay so now ill get to the point I can buy this 2002 2.4 liter engine out of a sunfire for 300 bucks it has 95 thousand on it and runs good (I have started it) so I am wondering if it is worth it to do this engine swap and if it is possible and what componets I would have to change to make it all work
.
Thanks,
Jo Brown #25

I have yet to do a swap but im sure you will need to cut and weld in new mounts....so yes...just do some searching.

Why not just drive the Sunfire?
Otherwise since you have a 95, Id look for the quad4.
The whole side of the car is crushed in and it has been rolled over and missing a rad like I can drive it but only for a short while.

Get the 2.3.
Easer, and It LIKES to rev. Ya know, somthing that requiers work for a 2.4 to do.

I would like to go to an older 2.3 or 2.4 but there hard to find and If i do find a decent one they are way expensive. Also I just though I would use this motor because its cheap and in good shape but I think its gunna be a big job to get it to fit in.

Then call around for a LO Quad, still has more power then a 2.4 and again, they will like to rev.
