Hey i was wondering if i should build up my 96 2.2l no eco and throw a turbo on it or build up a 2.4l and turbo it? The big thing i was wondering about was weight, and but i know theres alot more turbo kits out there for the 2.4l so im not sure what to do.
its not how fast you go its how fast you get there
Honestly its totally up to you, but most people on here will tell you to either go Ecotec or 2.4 LD9. Currently in my position I am prolly going to build up my 96 2.2 cause i dont have to money to go with any type of motor swap. LOL

it depends really on how much power you want to make... a very basic turbo setup on the 2.2 ohv makes around the same power as the 2.4 stock.... but if its cheaper for you to go that route than the motorswap, do that.... if you want to make like 400 + HP you probably want to swap, and then build the LD9... (you should build it before you drop it in)
Part of the design (The head, mainly...) of the LN2 is based on the Big-block Chevy, and that thing seems born to be turbocharged. So....
Oh yeah: The LN2 is so tough, there are guys here that have pushed them to extremes... and yet never broke the crank. Match that, Mopar Turbo 2.5!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
