I will be doing a custom air intake with a ported and polished 2.4 stock intake manifold, has anyone thought about moving the battery back to where the old air box is, and have the new intake go to where the battery sat, and have the filter now sitting right behind the headlight, and farther from the engine? Yes the battery tray would be moved up some, but i still don't think in would interfere with the hood shutting right.

How do you polish a stock plastic intake manifold? Aftermarket or 2.3 mani?
Seems like it would be a lot of work just to move the battery back a few inches. Why not get it out of the bay and move it to the trunk?

It can be done:
or as onecleancavy suggested you could look into something like this:
Relocation Kit
took about an hour and a little weldable metal.
Thought about it? Hell a bunch of us have done it. The battery is a Braille B2015 "No Weight".
wow, thanks for the pictures, i think i just want to move it a little rather that rewiring it all the way to the back and having a huge gap in the engine bay.

Wow, didnt realize so many of you had taken the time to move the battery like that. I still like the look of no battery under the hood. Looks much cleaner without all the battery wires and grounds in the bay. I kinda liked the idea of moving a bit of the weight to the back as well.
