Hey All,
I posted last week about few questions I had on what header to get, should I do a high flow cat. etc....I now have another quick question though,
First off, thank you for all your input on my pervious post. I decided to go with the Pacesetter Armor Coat headers and a Magnaflow high-flow spun cat with 3" in/out. I will be running 2.5" piping from that back (most of it is already on, had it after stock cat back. My friend is making me a custom downpipe for this application.
Now for my question, this spun cat has no place for the rear o2 sensor. I was wondering if I need to have bung put into the piping to place it or if I can get by without it? One thing is that I am having a buddy HP Tune it after I get everything installed (he knows what he is doing). I am already having a bung put in before the cat for the wideband for tuning purposes but didnt know what to do for the rear o2 sensor...
Now the other thing I am not sure of, when by buddy HP Tunes it can he just shut the rear o2 sensor while tuning so I dont throw any codes? If this is the case would you guys think it better to just do this, or put in a bung for the rear o2 sensor?
Any info would help me out guys!
Thanks,
Chris Stickles
Yes, you can turn off the rear O2 sensor in HPT.
I figured you could with HP Tuners, would this is better just to turn it off or putting a bung in to keep the rear o2 sensor?
