Custom exhaust installation

My buddy made me this spiral exhaust, he has it on his s-10 and it sounds pretty nice so im gonna try to use it for now. The problem i am having is finding a pipe adapter for the 2" exhaust piping to the 3.5" muffler. Here's some pics of what im workin with.

I have checked the local autoparts stores (kragen, autozone) and have not been successful. Any suggestions on where i can get the right adapter piece? Also if this is do-able without welding, i dont have a welder and would rather not pay a shop to do it.

Use a few couplers and a few clamps if you dont have a welder.

You will need a 2 inch I.D. on one end (For the original piping on the car) and whatever size fits over the other pipe for the other end of the coupler..Just get whatever that fits in between.

:Edit: Have you been driving around without a muffler? Looks like it from the build up on the pipe.

I'm not gonna even go-there about how that muffler is way too-big for that app in terms of flow... so I'll tell you this:

A friend of a friend built-up his LS1 (First on-record into the 10s on a stock-block) and needed an exhaust to make it legal. After the catalytic-convertor, He had a 4"(?)... or was it 5"?... muffler & tailpipe installed by the shop I once worked at. They simply took a flaring & installed it right-after the turn above-&-after the axle between the pipe & muffler.

Needless to say the system had a unique sound... But this was unbelievable! It was the first-time I ever notably heard the sound of the revs dropping, like you would on a manual-trans car, during an up-shift with an automatic!

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

actually, just for correctness' sake, the fatory pipe is 1 7/8 OD, so an adapter with an ID of 2" won't work.
