i have a 02 cavalier and the people before me that had it cut of the cat. converter and welded on a stock muffler. It sounds like $hit. I was wanting to know what kind of cat. converter would be best im thinking a flowmaster high flow and my buddy was saying something about putting a glasspack on it and after that i wanna get a dual loop muffler. Any suggestions on what i should get?
dual loop muffler = stupid.
This is what you should use.
Magnaflow 91036 2.5" (or 2.25) catalytic converter
Magnaflow 10346 2.5" (or 2.25) resonator
Custom Tubes 2.5" (or 2.25) mandrel bent catback
Dynomax Super Turbo 2.5" (or 2.25) Muffler
hmm sounds expensive lol but what do u recommend on cat-back exhaust like the ones off ebay i want a low growl tone not no fart can.
custom tubes doesnt list the cav/sunfire setup anymore....got a link?
custom tubes doesn't have a link to the Jbody exhaust. You have to contact them to have it custom made (same price as before - $150 I think?).
They hangers they put on are not in the correct places, so if you do order it, get it without hangers and put them on yourself or have a shop do it. (this was the case with mine, all hangers where off by 6 inches)
The exhaust wasn't that expensive. You can go cheaper, but you will get a cheaper exhaust sytem. I have had 5 systems on my car, I started with cheap fart can, then upgraded untill I got one I liked. My current setup cost about $300 total for parts and install. (I also had flex pipe installed, and a custom 2.5 downpipe)
