ok i just changed my stock coil packs to msd and i have accel wires and ngks so would that make my car run rich bad without a tune ot not. i have every bolt on with it?
Msd is a hotter and higher discharge coil but will not make it run rich or lean. Did you switch plug types? Also is it forced induction?
ya i have v power ngks and accel wires but im not turboed just every bolt on possible
Accel wires; Gar-bage. Get a 8-cyl universal set of MSD Super-Conductor wires & trim them to length for your app. I've done this on mine, because they don't make a custom-fit set for the LN2. Plus: For what's asked for a 4-cyl set, it's cheaper to just get the 8-cyl. That way, you have an additional set for later-on.
NGK V-Power plugs: Never really trusted them. No-better than Accel U-Groove plugs in my mind... And those aren't really any good either. Just go with something simple & trusted, like AC-Delco's or even E3s. Those always worked well for me.
All the possible bolt-on's? A camshaft wouldn't be part of it, would it? Or injectors?
As for those coils: They're better than stock or any-other bolt-on coils. But with the way the ICM's circuitry is designed (Load-sensing current limiting: Reduces current-flow so no more then 1-amp total flows into the coils primary-windings) the MSD's really won't produce any better spark than stock. To get the most out of them, you'll need the MSD DIS-2 box & corresponding coil-adapters. They're really designed to work with it (Quick rise windings, so multiple sparks can be produced by them in a single "firing" triggering).
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
