the outside diametre of the shaft part, is what I am looking for(outside diametre that goes in contact with crank seal), anyone know 100 percent on that size? I need to put a sleeve on there due to grooves on the shaft where the seal and the shaft meet, hope Im making sence, any questions just as lol

Well heres the problem with putting a sleeve on the pulley you will need to cut down the pulley so you can sleeve it .. if you don't cut it down then when you do sleeve it the sleeve will not fit into the crank seal proper ... have you put a new seal in yet ? is the old one hard?

But if you still want to just put a sleeve on it and try that, Then just take the pulley to the machine shop and tell them to sleeve it ..They have the proper tools

I work at a dealership, so I have the tools needed for the job at hand, but the crank seal was replaced but the grooves are in there enough that even a new crank seal does not seal it thats why I needed to know the size of the pulley shaft as I really do not want to put car on hoists, or jack it up just to take off and measure, then put back on to get sleeve size then take back off to sleeve it

OK .. but you will still need to turn the pulley down in order to sleeve it properly ... You must mantain the proper OD of the pulley seal surface .. So the OD of the pulley needs to be cut down to sleeve it .. so before up cut the pulley down measure the good surface ..then turn your sleeve...
How thick of a sleeve do you plan to install on it ?

Someone on the board does that exact thing you're talking about, at least I think he does anyways. (-MD- LD9 was it?) He would probably know for sure.

Yes, I do this / offer this service, and offered to do this for AJ.

Here is an OLD one, refurbished and sleeved...

Here is the last few I had done...

CAVY 2NV, pretty much explained it perfectly, and exactly what needs to be done. The snout diameter is 2.002-1.998", and is the diameter / spec. of the old pulley you have.

BTW that is the first prototype set I ever made. That set was modified, and is on my cavalier currently. BTW I still have that comforter.

ya what it comes down to is sending to you customs hasn't been friendly lately for some reason, thats why was looking in to see about a shop here for it, I did notice that this is the original........and no theres no way I'd give this one up lol, plus downside is the down time for the car, as I do not have stock pulley as it ate up the belts nicely
