Fuel System Upgrades.....lost

Alright, I've been searching and found some good info but Im getting frustrated cuz I cant find the threads on this stuff. I have some parts gathered:.

-Venom Rail
-Ford Green Tops
-6ft of 6an stainless braided line
-6ft of 8 an stainless line
- the AN-06 to 5/16 quick connect and the AN-08 to 3/8 quick connect
-accel AFPR

So In order to get all this @!#$ together I need some other AN fittings. For what ever reason I just cant get my head around what they are. If anyone could help me out with some ideas, pictures, or part #'s it would be greatly appreciated.

Why the braided fuel lines?

Why not a Racetronix fuel pump upgrade?
Racetronix Racetronix wrote:Just a quick note to our valued customers. The FPA-001 (F99-FPA) is not required for the j-body cars. We offer a W-body pump assembly which is the same as the F-body pump assembly less the external jig which was designed to mimic the diameter of the F-body pump. The W-body pump assembly FPA-007 offers the same performance at a lower price.

For most J-body cars the harness is not required from a performance perspective but as we all know the wiring is questionable at best for supporting the factory pump. It is an inexpensive investment which may help eliminate long-term electrical problems with the factory system.

Some people have noted a sealing problem with the venturi feed hose. This is attributed to customers not following the manual's procedure in dealing with the preparation of the hose. If the manual is followed properly this problem should not arise.

Please purchase your Racetronix product from vendors who support this forum. Thanks.

What size high impedance injectors, and how are you going to adjust your tune for them?

How are you liking your pulleys?

Well F! LoL. I wanted a Venom fuel rail (basically just for the looks) and I bought it off a fellow org member who was also selling it with the stainless lines and the quick connects so I was kinda bent on heading in that direction. I was thinking of getting the racetronix fuel pump but havnt really researched it too much yet. Are they saying that using stainless lines are a bad idea?

The injectors are Ford 440 Green tops, I believe 42 lbs/hr, If I remember correctly. Tuning I have no idea! I am either going to get a shop In Markham ON (Weatheralls), or Innovate in buffalo NY to throw a tune on for me once I get this fuel @!#$ figured out.

The pulleys are great, Got the alt. pulley on and the OS crank pulley which actually bumped me up to just over 7 psi with a mildly ported head.

Needless to say Im happy with the new built eng, and tranny but F*** is she ever running lean. Trying to keep my foot outta it is tough lol.

Contact Ryan at PNP Tuning in Saint Louis. Honestly he is one of only a few who can properly tune our computers.
His email is: pnptuning@gmail.com

There are a lot of shops that can edit with HPTuners, but most have no idea what to do with our PCMs.

The stainless lines are fine, just not really needed.

Does anyone have any ideas on AN fittings I will need to run these lines?

What AN fittings just depends on your setup and how your run your lines. I have tons of AN fittings on my setup, with that came numerous back and forth trip to Jegs because you end up not using what you ordered, or you got the wrong bends sometimes.

jegs.com
summitracing.com

Check those places and do a search on AN fittings.

-6 lines need -6 AN fittings
-8 lines need -8 AN fittings

and so forth....

Hey Thanks Whitecavy, I finally stumbled across the thread I was originally looking for the "2.4L Fuel rail mod." helped alot, but thanks for clarifying. Did you use the LT1 fittings? If so do you have any pictures of how they are used to attach to the hard lines?

Would be greatly appreciated.

I am only using 1 LT1 fitting back by the firewall, and that is my return line. My feed line is a -8 SS braided line coming from the tank, so no stock feed line anymore. I do not have any pictures, but once you take off your fuel lines back by the firewall, you will see how to snap on the LT1 fittings. Really easy.
