What year 2.2s can I use to mate to my 96 5spd tranny? Tips and advice is appreciated. I searched around but not much came up.

this includes the 98-99 year also? If I go with a 98-99 block will the wire harness have to be modded other than the knock sensor with 3 wires instead of 2
they should bolt up but i dont much about going from a 2.2OHV to a 2200.

pretty sure the 98+ is a direct swap on it but you can find a 96-97 engine very easily you can use a 95 however you need to swap youe thermos housing and EGR as 95 is vacuum and 96+ is electric

ICM is different on 96's than it would be on a 97 and i'm assuming newer. So that might run a bit of problem.

Thanks to all who replied the car is up and running we went for another 2.2 to get it going quick. V6 swap might be in the near future
