ive got a 99z24 manual trans..i spun na rod bearing like 2 yrs ago and its sat in my garage evr since..i found and bought a 01z24 with a manual trans.only 38k on it!!!!!!!!kinda excited about that.anyways iwas gona swap the whole thing(motor and trans) since my trans has 93k(ish)....i posted in the trans section about the tranny and was told id have switch shift assemblys?i really dnt want since ive already got a b and m short shifter in my car....pls help..any ideas or suggestions welcome while i have this stuff out..i planned on doin rear main seal while i was there and a light flywheel...any other tricks or upgrades(ideas) are greatly welcomed...ive had this car for..9 yrs and sank a ton of money into it...rite now its in peices and jst wana get it rolling again?...will i have 2 swap pcm<ipc<ign(all that stuff?)aad a time<thanks lots!!!!!!!!

my boss bought it for his kid...the nite he brought it to him he street raced and met a tree...passenger side foobarred....front is perfect....supposedly the kid that had it prior to bosses son did a bunch of wrk to motor..wht exactly<boss doesnt know.hes tryn to dig up the receipts frm when he bought it cuz the kid gave my boss the receipts of the motor wrk done(if that wasnt confusing)ive been tryn to get this car for ever since local junk yard wantd 750$ for 110k!!!!!i got...no..will have once all this damn snow is gone,the whole car which is why i wana do motor tranny and if axles r good...y not!gona b blst a rms and paint and do same with the front k member(i beleive is wht its called)i jst wana know is it gona wrk with out a huge headache?also n e suggestion on flywheel choice??i jst read somethimg about fidenzas breaking in 2.4s??????thanks for the input again guys

if you can get the whole car and take everything you should be good, but 99 was a strange year for the electrical system so to work right you may end up swapping a bit more than just motor and trans. also things like the injectors being high or low impedance can cause some issues. other things to look at are the starter and electrical systems.

rite on...i was thinking swap it all...and wrst case i got the pcm...i jst know there a bunch of crap as far as communication btwn pcm<ipc<whtevr...idk...thats y i asked...i had nothing but issues rite b4 the motor crapped out so i wana do this absolutely rite.....if u can think of n e more its much appreciated man!!!!!!cant wait for the 2 ft of snow to b gone so i can go get the darn thing!!!!!!
