I've been looking at different headers which one will bolt on directly to the factory piping? I would also like a muffler to escape a little more gas but which is the quietest muffler or system for these cars with a header dont really dig the mosquito noise these cars make.
Why don't you spend the time to fill out your profile so we can tell what car and engine you have and then tell you what parts to buy

his user name is "1 sic ss" Which means he doesn't have a J-body, they never came in an "SS" edition

http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=2&i=464766&t=453273&p=1 --- the very best header for your motor...
What year is your car? Like Mystic02VA said, you have either a 2.3 (like me) or a 2.4. 1995 was the only year with the 2.3 Quad. All other z24 years had the 2.4 Twin Cam. Also, if you have the 2.4... we need to know if it is a 1996-1998 or a 1999-2002 model. 1996-1998 had egr... 1999-2002 did not have egr so the header would be a little different depending on that. If you are a 1995... then your screwed... No aftermarket support for the 2.3 Cavaliers/Sunfires... Also... are you a 5-speed manual or Automatic transmission?
Why not just put money into the camaro...
header and muffler on factory piping doesnt seem like it would help anything other then sound..
that is true brad but hes from TX so hes not one of us. newbs don't realize how much the car part of the profile helps when were tring to sort out there car

the header i listed can be made for the 95 2.3, 96-99 2.4, and the 00-02 2.4 =P
now... he could have a pre 95 Z24, and then he'd be looking at a 3.1 or 2.8 V6,... but in that case, he would have said "Headers"... so its safe to assume its at 95-02 Z24.
in which case a pacesetter seems to be the low-buck one to pick up. but... if you've got a bit more to spend, look into a dc sports or a bills/stans. and even still.. if money is of no object, look up ron siebenick on quad4forums.com for a custom long tube one. they run about $500 for the bottom of the barrel version and upwards of 900 if you want stainless steel and coated, etc.

I do have money in the camaro z28 and lots of it. I just like to make the cars I have a little fun to drive but definately dont see myself spending $500.00 on a header to gain very little power. I was thinking of going the ebay route cause I think even the pacesetter is to much for the $/HP ratio. So where in the profile do I put my info. my car is a 2001 Z24 Blue Cavy I currenty have replaced the upper mount with a @!#$ty oem mount, have a very good ebay CAI, and have a Turbo Tech Racing lower mount on the way. I wish I could get this thing to beat my brothers 2000 Grand Am GT that would be cool for a little 2.4 quad twin cam and steal be in stealth mode.
