i have a 2.2 lts 1996 with a turbo t3t4 with an internal wastegate preset at 8 lbs of boost.i have install a fmu 12;1 and a walbro 255 fuel pump . but i dont have any idea wich injector i can take without any modification to the fuel rail .custom side feed injector are tought to find thank!!!!!
none, you will have to do the "top feed conversion" and maybe ford green top injectors. Just search what I said in parentheses up in the search box here. You will see what I mean.
Get rid of that 12:1 fmu and get an adjustable one!

at 8 psi of boost if i put a 12.1 fmu and a walbro 255 lph without change injector that will be alright????
my motor dont blow???
If that's all you do, the motor will probably blow. You'll need to get it tuned, and those stock injectors will max out probably before the max 8psi is reached. It's been a while, so i'm not positive on that.
the fmu and the walbro are'n't the problem.your fmu will increase the flow of your stock injectors about 40-50% so if you have say 17lb stock they be like 25 lb w/fmu.with your boost @8psi you'll need 30-32 lb injectors with fmu to get right flow to feed it correctly.keep in mind that your fmu will increase them to around 44lb and that will support 8psi. bottom line is you need top feed conversion to increase inj size.
along the top feed conversion, what about swapping the 2200 intake onto a 96 2.2? or if need be what about swapping the cylinder heads between the motors? i am kust curious bout that have looked and cant see anything and there are an abundance of 2200 car around here in the junk yards.....
Everything from the head mating-surface of the block on-up--and the camshaft profile & lifter retainers, along with the timing-chain cover & pistons--are completely different on the '98-up (2200) LN2. (i.e.: Nothing you want to interchange will interchange!)
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
Does anyone know for the 95 - 97 ecu's, which impedance the injectors were? I've read on here they are low impedance. If that's so, where can I find some 30-40lbs low impedance injectors. I can't find too many. Most are high impedance.
Thats for the info, but I already knew all of that info. I guess i'll just measure the resistance of the injectors to be sure its low. I was looking for ideas on places to buy the injectors without breaking the bank. I know the RC injectors would be the best. Are they a lot better than say green tops, or red tops?
