1990 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 auto 80k miles
Im getting a head, intake, & exhaust manifolds from a local yard this weekend. I'm going to be sandblasting the manifolds and painting the intake. I'm planning on milling the head, getting better pushrods, and possibly getting new springs and rockers. If I were to get new pushrods what brand would yienz use? And I'm wanting to use different springs and rockers to get more/better lift w/o a new cam. I will be porting the head and the manifolds after I get them cleaned up. Help is greatly appreciated thank you.
Comp cams everything for the top end in my book
Would all 2.2 2200 pushrods and rockers be the same? I know alot is interchangeable. Id figgure the pushrods and rockers would be to since there all pushrod engines and basicly the same blocks.
The pushrods will be different depending on how much you shave off the head.

if i shave the head how far should i go i wanna get higher compression but i dont want to mess with internals just yet
If I shave the head doesnt that mean if I use stock pushrods I'll get more lift because of the material thats removed? And can roller rockers be put on my motor? Don't rollar rockers also increase lift? And I may change out the valves depending on how much I have in it at the end, what valves are recommended and what gains could I see if any.
It'll stock push rods on a shaved head will increase lift, but the valves will be unable to close. Higher ratio rockers also increase lift, but roller rockers that are the same ratio as stock will not.
