This.... is a great find.

calling these people tomorrow.

check this out....

We supply the builder with a set of aluminum adjustable fabrication elbows. These unique infinitely adjustable elbows are compact enough to configure the most complex custom header designs right at your location. With a locking bolt at the pivot point of the elbow, the builder can simulate virtually any bend radius. Between the supplied elbows and the locally acquired PVC straight tubing, the builder can supply us with unlimited custom header design variations without bringing the car to our location.

From there the custom header mock up configuration is sent to us. The custom header mockup design is then replicated in our multi mount welding fixture. This multi mount welding fixture is a system we developed years ago to rapidly accommodate any custom header design. This allows us to fabricate and weld a set of custom headers that fits your very application perfectly. WE GUARANTEE IT!

After a precise fixture is made from your supplied mock-up, one of our skilled craftsmen fabricates your set of custom headers to your very specifications.

they send you a fab kit, and you mock it up how you want

ship it back to them, and they fabricate the header

select whatever kind of collector you want, set your lengths, steps and diameter, AND mock it up on your car exactly.

Yes, but there are a few things about it i'm not particularly find of.

However this find may be a complete game changer for me..

But anyone looking for a turbo header, or an all motor header, you can crunch some numbers and design your header from scratch, make sure it fits the car, and have it professionally fabricated.

Proper low angle merge collectors, merge spikes, anti reversion rings, the whole 9 without the headache of leaving the car somewhere to have the header fabbed.

The price for a 4 cylinder is listed as 950, but that's just a guideline since it is custom work.

Very very very very interesting for me right now.

Yeah i linked fetter to these a while ago. There is another company I showed him that used what looked like better pieces and better connections. There is a youtube video of the guy pieceing one together on there.

Thats a very cool idea. However that price is a little high since you still have to do your portion of the work. But for someone without a local shop to get the work done this will be great.

This is the company Noribilt... Im taking my Z24 to...they make MC Money's work look like childs play..>LOL JK

And they quoted me a turbo manifold @ $700.00 They weld awesome!

Its a great business model. and at least for the na guys 950 is a pretty good deal for a custom header like this.

Nice way to do it if you don't have the fab skills or background.

At $950+ though, I would have to go buy a TIG machine, a bunch of bends and do it myself. Then I still have the TIG machine.

Well I mean, a tig machine is going to run you 2 grand, or at least one I'd consider buying. Then you still should buy a bunch of pvc bends and pipe to better mock up the exhaust and then you need metal and pipe clamps (2 piece) for jigging and bends. Doing a header on a jig is WAY easier than trying to do it in the car.

they'd still have to have some more preliminary fab work on their part to get a PROPER n/a header made. you'd have to give them exacting engine specifications, etc in order for them to get the pipe sizing, primary, secondary, and collector lengths correct.

ideally for an n/a header you want it to work SO well that you (not kidding here) actually see 3 or 4 pounds of boost from it physically pulling (aka scavenging) the air out of the cylinders so precisely.

for $900 and my own time involved in the creation i would expect it to do nothing less or me.

does this $900 include a stainless flange? stainless piping? stainless merge collector with megaphone? heat coatings? reason i ask is because i have $780 in just my ron header with flange, primary and secondary piping ONLY due to it being 304 stainless. i still need to buy a $200+ dollar merge collector, megaphone, AND have it jet hot coated. by the time its all said and done ill have damn near $1400 in it. so paying $900 would be one hell of a better option for the next one.

quality TIG machines are way more than $950.. lookin at at least $2000 for the machine, plus the gas needed for shielding... and you need to set up a back-purge system... probably close to 3 times the cost.. plus cost of materials is going to be higher for a regular everyday joe vs a shop.... plus wasted materials due to learning how to use the thing... this is way more cost effective for people who don't already have a TIG and skills, and a very well equipped shop to use them in.

no... YOU do the math related to this, and tell them the numbers. the biggest variable for custom header design is getting the damn thing in the car... this system takes all the guess work out. YOU tell them the dimensions you want... pipe length, etc. Nobody knows the engine like you do.... all you need to do is put the mock up together so they can make sure it will fit. The other specs are some number equations and you can give them the dimensions.

Its honestly a really good solution and gives you complete control.

I don't think its that high... maybe like 2 psi for an ideal setup

$950 is for stainless. mild is $650. The price probably doesn't include a collector... but you can choose whatever you want, and it looks like its sometimes shipped out with the mockup kit. 4 into 1? 4 into 2 into 1? Turbo collectors? No problem.

Most people just don't understand how a good, QUALITY header is going to cost some serious coin. A good collector in itself is more expensive than the majority of the garbage headers people put on their cars, and is going to make a world of difference.

Exactly PJ. Also If anyone wants a spread sheet to figure out runner lengths, I have one.

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

My point exactly. I would rather throw the $1k cost of these into a TIG setup and still have it later. For me personally, this would be the way to go, since I have the experience to use a TIG, and the experience to build headers, I just don't have a setup at home. For someone without the experience, then sure, $1k is a decent deal for stainless headers. $650 is even better for mild, since most "vehicle specific" sets will easily run that much.

S&R Performance in Tampa use a similar company all of the time to get custom manifolds made. In fact my dad was going to run a Ford 427 engine in his '66 Fastback and wanted a custom turbo header made. S&R was going to use this exact idea on how to get it all fitted together properly.

Awesome idea for our cars and all of the little custom idea's we come up with. Good luck and post pictures!!!!
