Hey guys i am a new member and i have recently started featureing in a local frount runner rally race and im running a 00 caviler with a 2200 and have a couple questions for everyone...first off my car is automatic when manuelly shifting it shifts up just fine however when i try to downshift its like it goes into neautrl until the car gets to a lower rpm then itl go n2 gear i suspect that the computer is telling it that its at to high a rpm to go into lower gear so is there something that i can unplug or bypass to get around this so that if im n the rev in 3rd i can take it to first to take the next tight corner???? next question is there any junk yard parts i can use to swap out on my 2200 to get a little more at the bottem she does fine up top now just wish i had a little better hole shot i didnt know if mabe i could swap injectors or possiably even a head off another moter to put a little more pep in her step???
