hey guys my transmission went out of the sunfire and now Im having some trouble finding a low to mid mileage one. I was wondering if anyone knows about someone selling one or about a junk yard near by to get one from. im not afraid to drive a little. needs to be a 2.4L 5spd. any help would be greatly appreciated.

where are you located that would help and i would call a local junkyard and see what is out there. what about rebuilding yours that not an option try calling a local tranny shop and see if they can find you one and then pretend like your going to have them install it and find out where that tranny is that they are going to use and then tell them never mind and dont get it fixed there and buy the tranny from where ever you find it lol it worked for me saved a little over a grand for install wasnt for a j-body but you get the point

I have the internals of a perfectly good 2.4 tranny...just need to be swapped into a good case....

and i also have a hm282 tranny with the strong diff in it!

i just want to get them out of my garage ill let them go cheap...name a price and there prolly yours...
