I guess this is the best part of the Forum for this as I will be selling it in Ont Canada.
I'm looking for some advice to what I should start the price at as I know people always like to price drop you on anything,I was thinking at least $7000-$7500
The car
2001 Chevy Cavalier Z24
KM 140k
Loaded with everything that you could get on the Z24 in 2001 PW,PDL,PM,Sunroof,Auto,ac etc
If I get the price I want after reading what you guys think I should put it at,I will include these
1,3 sets of rim and Tires
stock 2001 Z24 rims
winter 14" steelies and tires
RTX 17" rims and tires
my Autopage RS-860LCD 2way combo unit
Clarion flip out screen
Alpine type X sub-woofer
I bought the car in 05 with 32k on it,Im the the 3rd owner of it.I have most of the Recipes to tell whats been done,But a hole lot of them where stolen.I left my folder in my Grandmas car one day and some punks broke in and stole some things including my history papers for my car.
Heres some pics,I haven't changed much at all on the outside or engine just added some 15% llumar tint on the fronts and some clear corners and some flame Z24 emblems .So these pics should still be up to date
At the Dealer-ship back in 05
when I brought it home
Pictures of the engine and interior, etc
15% tint/5" strip 5%
Clear corners
flip-out screen
The new 17's,Haven't even gotten rubber mounted on them yet
Winter steelies and tires
Autopage combo unit rs/alarm remote
So do you think $7500 is fair or what.if I don't get what I want I'll just keep it but just looking for some feedback
If I could find someone to give me 10G's I would take it,But theres not that many fools left
I dont see it going tor that much man
There are 03-05 Z's selling for that around here

I would say any where between $3000-4000. That $7500 asking price seems a bit high.
go on auto trader and and see what there going for and site your price to that !!
heres the kbb prices for you car. i converted it to miles so the price would be more accurate. keep in mind the prices are in American dollars

Blue Book Private Party Value
Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.
Vehicle Condition Ratings
Check Vehicle Title History
Excellent
$5,740
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.
Good
$5,255
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.
Fair
$4,610
"Fair" condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage.

Damn I just converted it using the Excellent condition price whitch itis i would only get
$6,125.77
Thats to f'n low all the dealer-ships around me want like 8k for there 01-02 Z24's and they have about 125-130 on them and just come stock no extra wheels or anything
I'd say $4000-$5000 is around what I would ask, keep in mind dealerships always ask alot more than private sellers...
Also that deck ya got tho nice prolly wont be a selling feature as the average person isn't really into that type of stuff and could possibly shy away.

i hate to break it to you but there's a 95% chance its not in excellent condition. do you have all the service records for the car? from a shop, not the receipt from crappy tire for a jug of Quaker state.
it is very unlikely that a car with 140,000KM on it will be excellent. if it really is excellent, the mods are going to knock it down to "good" because most car buyers want OEM.
im not trying to knock your car or anything but be prepared to accept the "good" condition price, or even less. i know right now my 2005 is only "good"

lol no offense but $7500 is way out to left field, I am putting mine up for $7500 in the fall thats motor work custom paint wide body 19's list goes on and I was debating on going lower. As stated above $4600 you be average I looked at the exact car with only 02 with 100000 kms and 18's for 4300
Well I'm putting it up on the auto-trader today so I will see if I get any hits
Youre looking at about 4K on a good day, realistically.
Good luck with the sale.
When I was thinking about selling my cav I was gonna try to get 5k. But hey if you dont get any hits at the price your asking drop it abit. Always better to start high......
To bring this from the Dead,I just put it back up for-sale on my Drive way and its in the Auto trader for about $6500 so we will see what happens this time,I really want to sell it but want to break even as well. Not one phone call when I tried to sell it in June,So I will see how it goes.
My car sold for $8,000 with 76,000k on it, goodluck man. Seems in decent shape tho.

if you can find someone to buy it for $6500 with 140k on it, good luck. I paid less then that for my 03 Z 5 SPD with 105k.
And with the breaking even comment.....its not going to happen....its a cavalier. A dead model......your not going to break even lol
M62, 42's, ZZP 3", ZZP S3 H/E
214whp 190wtq
i paid 8 for mine with 78k on it
and a brand new blower, so technically minus the blower i paid about 6000-6500 for it
so ya good luck with that
