It isn't recommended that you drop more than 1.5" on the AGXs. In fact, KYB won't honor the warrenty on their struts, if they were used on any drop over 1.5". If you want to go that low, use the Konis.

Robert (Intimidatior) runs that setup with no problems. Despite being past the warranty limit, the AGX's have held up fine.

Which tein springs are you looking at? AGX's would be fine for a mild drop. Anything over 1.75" and I'd go with Tokico D-specs or Koni Yellows.

You need to decide what look you want, and or what performance you want.

if you want performance, I'd say go with Tein coilovers... I've ridden in a couple cars packin the SS's, and man, it was like a roller coaster at Busch Gardens.. but it was still comfortable for daily driving

Eibach Sportlines I feel have some of the best performance and looks as well. Sportlines would require a good strut like Koni's.

NRG is that even a real company or brand? Sounds like some cheap ebay knock off?

yea, it's cheap eBay stuff.. but I figured it wouldnt matter with the Mantapart struts and shocks.. the NRGs are more or less the threaded sleeve, the adjustment nuts, and the tools to lower it.. I want something thats gonna give me at least a 2.5" drop.. at the very least, and most lowering spring kits only wanna give you between 1 and 2" drops.. not enough

Holy crap!! Its EVAN!!! wrote:yea, it's cheap eBay stuff.. but I figured it wouldnt matter with the Mantapart struts and shocks.. the NRGs are more or less the threaded sleeve, the adjustment nuts, and the tools to lower it.. It will matter. Cheap ebay coil overs have high spring rate which will blow your struts. Also, if you are getting Mantapart Sport struts, those are really only good for a 1.5" drop Max. You could go with their bilstiens struts but the coil overs would kill those struts, and to spend that sort of money on struts and cheap coil overs is really a waste of money.

I just ordered the Tokico HPK291 kit today. It comes with a set of HPs and 1.4" drop springs. I ordered them from Jason @ A-Plus for an outstanding price!!!

I was originally looking at the Tein H-Techs and the HPs, but this was cheaper and had a little more drop. Must be fairly good match, if the stut manufacterer is selling as a kit with their name on it.

Thinking about it, Tokico just came out with this in the last couple of months(red springs with a 1.4" drop) and Eibach is coming out with a set of struts to go with their Pro-Kit(due in the next couple of months). Hmmm?
