Sorry to hear you will not be going Jason.
I guess you don't like looking at Classic Cars or watching the racing ,You know a bunch(Real race cars) 6 sec , 9 sec 1/4 mile cars ... ,,Wheel standers, Jet cars ..

This goes out to all of the Fla J-body Show Hatters that had a problem with the council members having there cars in the J-show this year

This would be the perfect Time and Show for you to step up with your cars and out show/shine the council members that will be at this show ....... come and get some awards.. please . This show will be MORE then fair...No judging will be done buy anybody in the show .. the guys judging the cars there have been doing just that for longer then most of you have been alive

The way I see it if you don't bring home a award at this show ,then maybe you need to step back and take a close look at your cars to see what you need to improve on..

PLEASE COME AND GET SOME

and man here we again with bringing up dead weight..... i have never met someone who feels they need to contineuly bring up old crap from this past show.......whats done is done and for once leave it the heck alone............ besides i am not building my car for shows anywazs and you can ask anyone on the council who rly knows me how true that is about me.........so if u wanna " bring it" how about we take it to the track and not the show

I don't normally come in here to bad mouth, and I didn't bitch about the judging this year...........but seriously........Welcome to 3 months ago...........How about leaving this to rest? Just sounds like you are trying to start trouble.......which will then get everyone in a piss fest...............then blah blah blah, then no one will want to come to the show next year..............and that won't help bring more cars in now will it........................................

Jason I'm sure you see the old classic all the time there in town ,,I myself would love to see all the cars you have a chance to see... this is why I was giving you a hard time about not going to this show ,, I guess you did not know I was Joking ,, I will insert a smiley next time.. I'm sure you have better things to do .... It's not like I was thinking you would show up anyway , with work and a new wife , car show's would not be top of my list of things to do .

And the part about me continually bringing up old crap well this is not true at all ... I have not made a post on here until last week,, since the J-show,, so please tell me how I keep doing this .....
I was only informing the ORG members that had a problem at the show this year about us(council members) having our cars in the show and judging the show to meet us there at super chevy show for a fair judging of there cars and then we will see if they had a reason to complain about the outcome of the j-show this year...( I was not trying to start crap )Sorry the you and Bobby think this.....

If you did not Have a problem with the last show then Great glad to hear that .....I for one had a good time and had a chance to meet some new people .. (that is why I go )

as fare as the track goes well I think I have one of the SSSSSLLLLOOOWWWWEESSSTT cavy's on the ORG .... so if you want I will show up at the track and race.. it's nothing off my back to loose a fair race ,,,,, It want be the first and will not be the last ....

Bobby at not time was my post meant to piss anyone off ( sorry if you think so ) and about next years show WHO cares .....the past three J-shows I have been to the judging was a joke ..... So as a Member of the Council I for one will be pushing for NO awards next year . only a car club meet and cookout like it was meant to be and was in the beginning......If the people of the ORG only show up for the awards then you don't need to go ... It's not about the awards , it's about meeting new people and having a good time together ,, (I guess some don't see it that way)

This will be my last post about this ........

If you would like to talk more about this then come to the show and lets talk.... hope to see you all there

I guess thats a no on the paint...

I hate to admit it, but I want to win a damn award.. its not life or death, but I'd like to be recognized for doing something in this scene, seein as how I been hookin J's up since I got my license and my first Cavalier ('85 Type 10).. back when the only modded J's in this crap-shack of a town were Winstel, Antonio, and I think Nottke.. and I didnt even know them. as far as I was concerned, I was the only Cavalier out at the street races (and kickin ass all over the Honda crap)

no no Like i said ,, sure anything is better then PINK ,,,

I'll paint it just keep in mined that I don't have a paint booth and I don't paint cars for a living ... you have seen the cars that I have painted ...Hey I've painted most of my car .. I think they are a good paint job just not a great paint job ... I wish I had a booth

I dont think I will have time to do it bofore the SCS this time .. but I can do it ..

yea, I didnt see your second post.. um, from what was pointed out to me that you painted (your engine bay, John's front bumper), I'd be happy if my car came out as good. yea, the lavendar has to go, on top of the dry-shot rear quarters, the sand and debris in the paint, and the thin layers on the front bumper that are chipping off to reveal the original red color... it'd be an easy job, tho.. I wanna do the kit black (like Winstel's car), and the rest white.. and its not even the whole rest, 'cause I have a carbon hood, and will have a carbon trunk before paint..

Did someone say race??????? I'm game!! Better yet why not go to Super Chevy to race??? Winstel and I started going to Super Chevy back in the day for racing.

You do not have to be built for car showing to go to a car show. They have class's for every type of J we could bring (meaning from stock to wild). Plus there is a group award. Getting together to go to a car show should be more about getting together and hanging out and shooting the @!#$, not winning a award, or how your car was built.

As for what "X" post aka Robert. He has a point. The past couple years people have really complained about judging (and I agree with it to a point). Every year people make comments like "a real show would not be like this", or some other crap. Well here is a real show go to it, and not to walk around and look but show.

I also realize that the people this was really meant for will never see it.

Also a couple years ago at this super Chevy show Chris Anderson won a raffle/giveaway for a 3k Tremec racing tranny. Of course this would not work on a J, but a guy walked up and offered him $1500 for it right there. Yes he sold the tranny. Also there is magazine coverage as well (Super Chevy Mag).

well like i said before to X i will say again i see plenty of classic cars down here and can not truely justify the travel let alone the money for a show that i have been to several times and was bored with it none the less

pfff, LOL!!!!!!

I'm still up in the air on this.. it'll depend on money and whatnot

yea, the reason that those people wont see that comment is 'cause they're gettin rid of their cars.. Mike, Omar, and Casper no longer own Js.. not to mention who ever else will have their cars gone by showtime next yr, which is sad considering what next yr is.. this scene is droppin

Well as most of the Jax people know, I am not the biggest fan of the SCS(previous experience) but I am going to try and make it. Money is going to be the big thing. For the people who are coming it is worth it more to pay for registration than it is to pay to walk in the show. Who cares if you car doesn't look the Greatest right now(hell my car is a perfect example of that)....your there for the support of the rest of the group that is what counts!!!

Jason, sorry you feel the way you do about this show but my feelings are that a show is what you make of it....

Donnie, you making it a one day thing or two? Need a place to crash?

Side note... alternator ordered yesterday hopefully will be here today! I want my cavy back!!!

Hop'n to make it!

Gee i know all about that lol that was me last week!
I'm on the fence about going myself. It's the $ mostly. I guess $45 for 2 ppl and an entry aint all that bad, but still .. thats a full tank of gas in the Cav. I'll see what's going on that weekend, work may be sending me to L.A. for a few days that week.
