So I was tentatively considering trying to drop a 13b into my cavalier, but I havent quite been able to figure out the logistics of it. Has anyone done anything like this before, and how much do you think this would run out of pocket?

Well lets see here:
Whole new chassis for rwd conversion, New transmission, custom driveshaft, etc..., etc... unless you'r going to fabricate everything you better have deep pockets and if you have deep pockets why not buy something better.
