Instrument clusters from a 89 Sunbird fit in a 92 sunbird LE no problems? Can I do it just plug it in? of change wires and senders?

Im 99% sure all Sunbird dashes are interchangable...

If you are planning to replace a "base" cluster (idiot lights) with a gauge cluster the pinouts on the printed circuit are not at all the same. I've performed that swap on my '92 convertible and I bought the factory service manual (available on ebay) and just swapped the pin locations according to the diagrams in the electrical section of the manual. It worked well. If you are adding a cluster with a tack, you will need to splice a wire into the tach signal terrminal of the ECU. If you are just replacing a defective cluster with one that's the same, it shouldn't be a problem. BUt I'd check the manuals just the same.
