One of my friends has a 95 gtp, with a 3.4 dual overhead cam engine. He blew a timing belt in it a little while ago, and as you can image, it wasnt nice to the top end. What would be his choices? I would think that a 3.4 could go in, or if he wants possibly a 3.8 sc. Even if not, he got a quote for an engine with 40 thou on it, for $1000. Are there any better alternatives?

i'd find a wrecked gtp with the 3.8sc and slap it in there. If your gunna do the work, why not go all the way

I found something interesting. Online it said that the 3.4dh was a non iterference engine. If this is the case, he just needs to get the timing belt done.
