Beater running rough

I just bought a new beater car, a 92 cavi with the 2.2 auto in it for 200$'s and I have a couple questions. First off I come from rear wheel drive V8 cars so I don't know too much about front wheel drive. Now I'm having problems starting it. It seems as though when I first start it after it sits for a whle it is fine, but when i shut it off for a half hour or so it won't start so easy, so I was thinking leaky injectors? Next sometimes it runs really rough and sputters at low rpms, but soon as it hits about 1500 or so rpms it is fines. Finally, when the car is sittng still, doesn't matter if it is in gear or not, it shakes uncontrolably the whole car. I plugged in a sensor which i thnk is the tourque converter lock up solinoid, made the car not be able to downshift when slowing down and eventually stall out. I think I hit all the points if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Usually a $200 car requires a major tune-up. Plugs, check the coils, check timing, battery/charging system needs to be checked, and oil change. If that don't solve any issues then begin changing censors such as the o2, air sensor, etc. In that order as the o2 may be causing the sputtering. But I don't want to jump the gun.
