In my area there are two 89zs I can get the kit off of. What type of work would have to be done to get a 89 kit on a 93 sedan? I've heard the headlights and grill would need to be replaced, yet I seen one sedan similar to mine with a 89 kit without the headlights and grill changed. One more thing, is it true that the RS bumpers rust out easily? Thanks in advance
ok well i know its possible to keep the ph2 headlights my friend had it done on his. To make the swap alot easier use the ph1 bumper as well so you dont have to cut and honeycomb stuff off the ph2 bumper. The ph2 bumpers dont have shocks on them so there is a small plate over the hole where the ph1 bumper shock will go, u can bang on the plate and watch it move then pull them off. I did this on my gf's 93 sunbirde le with a ph1 z kit, same goes for the rear bumper just use the ph1 bumper as well.
Oh yeah one more thing, I checked and my rear RS bumper is completely rusted... Do the 89 z/24 ones rust out as easily? That's the main reason I'm doing this mod; because of rust.
i kept the lights...looks sweet
The Z24 bumpers don't rust like the phase 2 VL/RS ones
they are made differently and have shock absorbers
On the front completly take off the stupid honey combs, and bolt up like stock, sides are like stock and rear is similar to stock but will have to remove the inner supports.

I have the 4dr so I think the sides would take alot of cutting. Unsure.
You have to either cut the tops off so they just go below the doors, OR, you could do what I'm trying:
Which I personally think will look better.

If you need a phase one or two kit I have one of each I can sell cheap if you want to pick it up

Thanks for the help, but I found out that kit had dents in it and Ohio is a long ways from NC thanks anyway
Nah can't be done at all and it looks pretty ugly hahahah
I like those rims, they look like the 3rd gen z/24 ones but are larger. So you're swapping all of the stuff from the sedan into the coupe shell?
