He took my radiator/intercooler idea.
I didnt quite understand what he meant...he took a radiator from a late 80's early 90's ford.....and did what with it???
The last one you just put up is mine. I just threw the rest of the newer pics up if you want to check them out. The nitrous plmbing pics are at the top.
I doubt that second guy actually has done the radiator swap or else he would have pictures. It was a lot of work, took a lot of time.. and the probability that two people unknowingly did it at the same time is extremely slim to none since it has never been done before.
For that radiator conversion I had to cut about 25lbs of steel from the front of the car and remove the latching assembly. I also had to weld in a bracket to hold up the intercooler and make another bracket to hold up the fan and relocate it to the front.
Then after cutting the radiator to pieces and plastic welding/epoxy selaing the new coolant oulets and pressure cap mounts in, it barely fit enough that the hood could close.
I'm going to have to makea removable brace kind of like a strut tower bar for the front sometime very soon.
Another thing this required was to cut the coolant outlet in half and weld it back together facing the radiator. You can see that best in tis picture:
My guess is that he saw my page before I took pictures and said "oh that sounds like a good idea" then said he did it.. or else he would have mentioned how much work it took instead of just saying how easy and convenient it is.

What kind of power do you think it will have when you are finished?
THAT'S FN BADAZZ
Nice setup
I noticed on your intercooler piping ,that the ends of the pipe were not flared out to help from blowing the rubber hoses off, under boost.
That skinny dude looks like me...kinda freaking me out alittle.
You'll also notice that the charge pipes aren't complete in those picture. I had to weld the rest of the charge pipes to the ends when the engine was in. The ends at the couplers are actually flaired with an exhaust pipe expander.

Min we really should meet on msn some time..... I'v been considering getting a turbo bird forum up.. If there is enough interest...
Feb 4th i get the bird out of storage and back on the road.. Many many plans over the next few weeks.. Got 6,000 for mods...
Wow, I wish I could get even half that for mods on my turbo Sunbird.
Well i took out a loan for my house and I decided why not include the stuff for the car.
12,000 total
4,000 for the house
2,000 for furniture
6,000 for the car and other "car related stuff"
The list so far is
Rebuilt engine, all proformance parts , new T-3 turbo, intercooler, big brakes, new paint and bodykit with stereo install. Im hoping to get this all done by July 15th for SCN in Winnipeg.
I'm $12k into the engine, $6k into the audio/video and getting ready to drop about $10k more on the body and interior.
