just stick with the OEM replacements...

i've tried all the Bosch crap, the rapidfires etc... they all only lasted 6 months or so in my 3.1 (and it's very healthy). I'm using the cheap Champion plugs right now, i've had them in since July and they are still working great.

i get about 29 MPG on the highway and about 21-22 in the city.. 3.1 5 speed.

i run delco plugs, just stock replacment. most people i talk to find they work the best. platnums, rapidfires, ect are a waste of money in our v6 motors, stick to delco plugs.

I had rapidfires in my '90 3.1 for a number of years, and I was always happy with them. I think I had two sets on there over 6-7 years. I noticed it ran slightly better with them than the stock replacements. Obviously it's not earth-shattering, they're just plugs, but it was slightly better. I just recently replaced mine, they'd been in there just over 3 years I guess. Came out looking very good, center electrode had worn down only a tad. I couldn't find any to replace them so I picked up some Bosch Platinum 4+ plugs this time to check them out. Seems to be running a bit better, again. But I figure this is more due to the fact that it was about time to replace the plugs, rather than plug design. The plug design probably helps a bit, but don't expect different plugs to give you eleventy-seventy more horsepower

they were the original rapidfires where the center electrode had splines in it, not the newer rapidfire platinums, btw.
