I just got a "gift horse" this morning ----a 1991 pontiac 6000 automatic with a 3.1.
body is rotted to hell, but the engine, tranny, computer ect all works--so I now have (or will after 2 weeks of pulling parts) a complete second perfect match bolt-in drivetrain to play on, which takes the pressure off having to do mods "on weekends" so I can still get to work during the week.
SO--with this stuff laying around, what would the experienced v-6 guys do to it for a "mild" streetable rebuild. The car will still end up as more or less a summer-time daily driver/ cruiser so I dont want to go to real extremes that make it a driveability problem. This kiinda changes my plans for the season, but oh well.
Also--if anybody needs/wants interior or body parts off the 6000 (whatever is good) let me know and they are yours for the cost of shipping from S/W ontario plus a 6-pack for me to drink while pulling them
. Exterior is burgandy and the interior is crappy 80's GM biege.
Rice.....Part of a balanced Pontiac diet.
