i already have my own plans for it but i'm looking for your ideas/opinions/comments/questions about it.
i'm going to paint it black, 25% tints, raise it 2-4 inches, some heavy duty type rims from an old monte carlo or somethin, paint the dash black, doors black(fiberglassed), all panels black, black carpet, black leather seats, rear seat delete, better audio system, and some sort of motor swap in the future.
tell me what YOU would do.
and i'm making a skylight/moonroof
I would just get a z24 kit, paint the whole car a nice color. some wheels and a drop.
well, unless your building a rally car, i wouldnt raise it. these are not 60s muscle cars that you lift up for better weight transfer. it will look dumb lifted.
i would put a z24 kit and hood on it, paint it black and silver (however, a darker silver than stock), lower it on some nice 17s or 18s, a small tastefull wing (like a stock phase 2 wing), tinted windows. i would do a complete phase 2 black interior, new carpet, some nice comfy racing seats. for power, id run a 3400 5 speed. it would make a very nice clean car, a good driver that makes people look, but doesnt look ricey.
sell your lights on Ebay and build another one.
god i wish this were an AMC eagle SST...
if it were MY car i'd leave it stock and get something better for the fun car.
but MY opinion doesn't matter, since it's not MY car.

to be 100% honest... a beater, if you want somethign more fun get a Z24.

If I were you? I'd sell it and buy a turbo GT, or turn it into a road race car where hte interior and any unncessary weight is stripped ou, and fully caged.

i've put too much money into it to sell it for less than 600.
if the body is solid with no rust (on the shell itself, doors can be changed) and you can do most of the work yourself, then its worth putting the time and money into.
im busy putting a lot of work into an 86 rs cavy after my old 86 z24 got totaled. it was a base model no options 2.0l auto, but after a bunch of work, it has my built v6 and 5 speed, and pretty much the best suspention and brake goodies you can bolt in. im swapping to a black cloth interior and will put a first gen z kit on it in time. why am i putting all this work into this car??? it was $400 and the body was solid. its getting hard to find 1st gens and phase 1 cars without rust now, the last phase 1 is now 16 years old.

01 - yes.
02 - the rims i have on it (look at my sig) are from a late model celica. 16". 205/45
03 - i have a sony cdx-gt200 deck, 220 watt pioneer 6x9's (inherited
) and an 800watt pioneer 12" sub in a bandpass box in the trunk. new shocks are my next move. i'm trying to find seats also.
04 - i'll prolly have accumulated 160k miles by then (147k now)
I'd look at the rocker panels front to back and make darn sure there is no rust or degration of this "rust" prone area. If there is rust look at how far it goes then decide if your willing to weld in new panels. If you are, go for it! If not "winter beater"

they're not rusted unless theres rust under the carpet

will the rims off of VW/ celica GT-S or Subie work on my 94 cavi
yup. your cavi has a 5x100 bold pattern.
some subies, toyotas, and VWs use that pattern. if you see a set of take-offs you like -- go visit www.tires.com, search wheels for the car whose rims you're looking at, and verify they use a 5x100 bolt pattern.

i decided to go wild after my car looked like this for quite a while...
plus when i first got the car i did the whole Z24 kit and made it as USDM as possible... (the only thing i kept was the Z24 Centerpiece in the steering wheel)
