i swapped a 3400 motor out of a 01 impala into my 92 z 24 i used the stock 3.1 injectors with the stock 3400 fuel pressure regulator and rail. the car seems to run real rich i have looked through all the forms and i cant seem to find out which injectors i should be using our what computer chip to use and combination can someone at least tell me were to look for this info our explane it to me!

i think your supposed to be using the pre 2000 FPR with multec 1 injectors but don't quote me on that, someone should be able to confirm that

why dont you just use the 3400 injectors

the way i read everything you have to reprogram the chip to use the 3400 injectors do i? can someone tell me what injector /FPR/ ecu programing i should be using?

iirc, use the gen 3x00 rails with a pre 2000 3x00 fuel pressure regulator and your stock 3.1l injectors. typicaly this will run not to bad, usualy a bit lean though.

if your running rich id check for a leaking injector or fuel regulator. shouldnt run rich at all as 3.1l injectors are only good to about 165-170hp.

well then i guess all i need is a fpr from a pre 2000.Thanks alot it go give that a try tomorrow and see how it works!
