2.2 info

Does anyone know right off hand, the stock power of the L4 2.2?? I am in the process of making the custom air intake that everyone has done on the V6's assuming I will get the same kind of results from it.

I also want to know if there is anything cheap that I could do to get some better gas mileage out of it, and have it run better.

done so far
Custom AI ( in progress)
New plugs
Wires
New O2 sensor

Want to do
Exhaust (dual maybe)
new cat
overhaul comepletely (since it has 211K) on it

What can I do to get the best out of it??

I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!

The 3rd Gen LN2 was listed at 120hp, I think the 2nd Gens had around the same, but I'm not entirely sure. I think the TBI versions had a bit less so depending on which one you have...

what will give me the most gain I have read alot of different posts about both from other sites but for the price I want to know which is better.

High Flow Cat & Some kind of exhuast 150+ total
or
high flow cat & a glass pack?? 90bucks total
Will I lose much if I go dual??

Also what kind of performance gain can I expect from the custom Air Intake?

I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!

So what's the difference between the three? Is it a different block altogether? Or just different moving parts?

what options do I have for replacing the Head other then a swap, since I dont have the means or the experience to do a swap that leaves me with just making this one as good as possible.

Unless someone has a 3.1 or 3400 laying around runs good and I can just bolt it up to the 5sp trans I have now.......lol

you can use a 95 2.2 header from like obx or pacesetter thats another start.. but you will have to modify the downpipe a little... or you can boost it like I did.

So if I read this correctly....will a 92 engine work in a 95? I have bottom end problem in my 95, and my 92 has less miles. I know it seems like a noob question....Beacuse looking at them they look similar. Thanks for your help.
