2.0 parts help!!
Sunday, February 04, 2007 8:47 PM
I was looking @ advance auto parts for a crank for a 2.0 turbo, thinking it was different from my 2.0 non-turbo crank, but they were the same, so does anyone know where to get a good crank for a 2.0 sunbird? or even better, a stroker kit? and anyone know any other engine parts, basically im looking for ANYTHING high performance for this motor, hope you guys can help, thanks

QED performance

All of the bottom end components will work with your motor. I have their paper catalogue if you want prices on their stroker kit or aluminum engine block. I ordered their dry sump system. Will let everyone know how it works shortly.
you can also convert to the XE's or LET's dual overhead cam cylinder head. If you are doing the conversion, look for one of the earlier Coscast heads as they were designed by Cosworth and are just.... well.... better.

If you just want a stock crank, I have a used short block for sale.

Who told you that?
Part of the reasoning may be that you asked for parts for a 2.0 DOHC? The other part may be that they have no idea what a pontiac sunbird is. Try asking if a c20let head can be swapped over to a c20get (2.0 sohc turbo motor code in Europe, doesn't go by LT3 there.)
If they still say it doesn't fit, to hell with them. The swap has been done by myself and one other J owner in the states to my knowledge, possibly more.
