I'm not sure if this goes here...

I have a '00 auto cav. and I need a new rack & pinion.

I found one dirt cheap and this is the description:

Cavalier '96-97 Power Rack & Pinion; std susp FE1
Cavalier '98-03 Power Rack & Pinion; std susp FE1 & FE0
Cavalier '04 Power Rack & Pinion

is it compatable with my model?


Getting "better built" for the '08...

They will work. Some years have different turn ratio's. The newer ecotec cars have the best. We have a whole K member with rack, spindles etc.. for $125

All 3rd Gens will work 95-05. Like MD said, it's just the turn ratio that's different.
