Like to make a good seal, Teflon tape? Or lock tite? Thanx
well lock tite is if you dont want to remove the fitting ever.
Use teflon tape.
get lots of teflon tape. wrap each fitting like 5-6 times w/ it
DO NOT USE LOCK TITE!!!! But to answer your question....
Lock tite= teh bad (you will have hell getting that fitting back off)
Teflon tape= can help create a seal but does not actually make your fittings seal. Teflon tape is not even use for sealing, it is used for lubricating. Your threads on the fittings and in the hole are what actually make the seal, teflon tape just keeps your threads from seizing up.
But use Teflon tape.

use loctite u shouldn't be taking the fitting off anyway unless they break. teflon causes more problems than anything, like getting in ur valves and screwing them up. go to lowes get weak loctite i think its 255 to early so dont quote me. if u need to take anything apart u take the line out not the fitting
do not use loctite at all. theres no need to. if you can seal the system w/ some simple wrenchs and teflon tape then get someone else to do it. theres no need for loctite at all. it will just creat problems. when that fitting breaks that has loctite on it, what are you going to do?
If you want the cadilac of sealant, get Perma-Lok (not locktite, PermaLok does not seize threads, it seals them) and telflon tape. Put a touch of PermaLok on with your fingers (both sets of threads), then the teflon. Be very careful not to overtighten it, because it will spin very easily and you can strip threads, or crack fittings that way. If you do it right it will never leak.
I was going to use Teflon, just wondered if others used anything else.
thanx
