I did a search on this, but came up with nothing, and the FAQ did give some suggestions to the general cause of what the problem could be, but I would just like another opinion/advice on what the problem could be. Anyhow about 2 months ago I noticed sometimes (not often) when I brake my car kinda just shimmys and doesn't really stop too well, I feel vibrations through the brake pedal and steering wheel and there is a weird loud grinding/clunking noise from the front. Also (a lot more often, actually almost always) when I turn left I feel some vibrations through the brake pedal and steering wheel also. Well I thought it was my rotors because last time I changed my pads they looked pretty bad, so I ordered new pads and rotors. When I put them on I noticed a lot of grease on the brake line on the pass. side, and when I looked to see where it was coming from I noticed a hole in my cv boot. Could this vibration come from the cv assembly or would it be coming from somewhere else. I know I need to replace the assembly, and I could just do that to see if it fixes the problem, but just in case it doesn't I would like to have an idea on where to go next.
Thanks.
Check your wheel hub assemblies.

I'd guess the CV is bad if the boot is torn. A little dirt and road grime in there and they're shot.
